New construction equipment and construction boots will be available for use by patients in hospitals and clinics in Japan, the company that built the project announced on Wednesday.
A total of 18 pairs of the new boots, manufactured by a firm called Kajima Inc., will be made available in Japan starting this spring, according to Kyodo News.
The company will also provide the footwear in its home country of Korea, where the U.S. military is considering providing similar footwear for use in future conflicts.
The new shoes are part of a nationwide campaign by the U-boot company to promote the new construction equipment.
The company has a history of making high-quality construction equipment for hospitals and other healthcare facilities, but the company has yet to sell the products outside of Japan.
